This DC-based cutting edge startup is currently looking to hire an experienced Associate Sales Executive to support its growing sales initiatives. The position reports directly to the Director of Business Development and has the potential to grow into a senior level position.
The position will report directly to the Director of Business Development with career advancement opportunities to a senior level position.
The Associate Sales Executive will:
  • Lead sales operations and maximize revenue growth through the development, implementation and on-going maintenance of sales programs and initiatives
  • Develop key performance metrics, sales pipeline reporting tools, and dashboards along with supporting process that help the sales team, finance organization and executive staff focus on key performance drivers
  • Proactively identify new and innovative ways to track business performance, and understand drivers and obstacles in the business
  • Implement established strategies, tactics and process to optimize sales force productivity by reducing cycle time, improving sales conversion and maximizing revenue
  • Enhance and increase client retention and up-/cross-sell revenues
  • Assist in all facets of sales planning and performance management, inclusive of regular updates to quotas, and sales plan/pipeline
  • Own and determine the ultimate purpose and goal of the CRM tool and establish a plan for optimal usage
  • Work with different levels of management to facilitate planning, report back on results and analysis and develop strategy.
  • Manage the Enterprise sales engagement smoothly from beginning to end
  • Leverage market, product and technical expertise to identify client needs
  • Produce clear, concise proposals with an appropriate level of detail that identify client needs, current workflows, proposed solutions and commercials
  • Establish & execute a pipeline target market strategy for achieving sales targets through the appropriate stages of the sales cycle within your assigned client base
  • Build and maintain relationships across client organizations to ensure that all stakeholders are managed appropriately as part of the sales process
  • Balance engagements across the sales life-cycle to maintain desired pipeline levels for long, medium, and short-term sales
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA or equivalent experience preferred
  • Intelligent, hard working, and tech savvy
  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented, and organized
  • Openness and ability to be coached, passion for winning, persistence and determination
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally
  • Strong leadership skills with proven verbal and written communications skills
  • Aptitude for technology, including using web based software and internet tools
  • Willing to travel, sometimes internationally
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Solid understanding of brand marketing and client service/account management
  • Experience with writing marketing and media presentations and presenting to clients
  • The ability to be a Creative thinker and great teammate
  • Strong proficiency in Power Point and Microsoft Office
